Hi, my name is Luke and this is preventing a computer from sleeping when closed. If you are using a laptop, the default action in Windows when you close the lid is for it to go into sleep mode after a certain amount of time. However, if you'd like to disable this and just have it close, what you can do is go to power options in the bottom right hand corner, right click on the power notification and click power options. On the left you will see a link that says choose what closing the lid does, left click on it. Here you can see what happens when you are on battery or plugged in and what when closing the lid option does. Mine is set to sleep but if you'd like to set it to do nothing, click on the drop down, make sure both are set to do nothing and then save changes. Now when you close the lid of your laptop, your Windows will not go to sleep. And that's it.
