Hi, my name is Luke, and this is "how to make a computer icon appear on the desktop in Windows 8." If you're using Windows 8, and you have the metro interface open, click on the desktop icon, or desktop option. It should be in the bottom left of the Windows 8 metro interface. Once you're at the normal Windows desktop, all you need to do is right-click, go to personalize, and then change desktop icons in the top left. Here, you'll see a prompt appear that'll allow you to set any of the common desktop icons. But, for our purposes, we're going to click computer, then click apply, and okay. And, here, you'll see computer, or this computer, or an access to the link that's commonly known as my computer, and that's it.
