Hi, I'm Bill Sheehan. What's the best plant for a seahorse. When choosing a plant for a seahorse tank, the best thing is you want to find something that's readily available, cheap and hardy. I suggest using caulerpa algae. The reason I suggest caulerpa is it's, it is a very hardy plant, it's a very cheap plant, grows very quickly, but it also gives them something to anchor on. When they curl their tails around there and they're anchored up they're secure. Another good feature about caulerpa is it hosts copepods. Copepods are a small animal that seahorses feed on, and what's great is a seahorse can wrap himself up in a clump of algae like this and feed all day.
