Hi, I'm Alice von Simson, licensed cosmetologist and owner of Secret Salon in Carlsbad, California. In this video, I'm gonna show you how to create the illusion of a smaller forehead. Now, if you don't want to do bangs, like I have, there are still some tricks you can do with a little bit of contour and shading that are really gonna make your face look proportional. The best thing you can do is a bit of contour. Now, whenever I'm contouring, I use a matte bronzer. You don't want any shimmer in there, 'cause a contour should look like a natural shadow, and shadows don't sparkle. I'm using a fan brush, here. Then, we're gonna apply that, just at the top, there, to kinda make a shadow, and blending around the edges. Now, if you think that your forehead is too wide, then we're going to go in the sides, and just bring that in a little bit. So, again, using the matte bronzer, I'm just gonna come in on the sides of the forehead and just sort of reshape that area, using my fan brush. Now, if you think you've gone too far, or it hasn't blended enough, just take a clean powder brush , a little blush brush, and just blend those edges in. Try to keep it nice and matte. You don't want it to be shiny, so maybe carry around some little blotting papers with you or use a nice oil absorbing powder.
