Hey, I'm Jared Abbott, but you can call me Chef J. This is how to make lemon herb turkey. It's a super easy, fresh healthy recipe that only takes a few minutes to learn. My main ingredients are gonna be turkey breast, mushrooms, shallots, lemon, a little Sherry cooking wine and fresh thyme as my herb. Alright, I've got these nice big turkey breasts here. Just want to clean them up a little bit, trim some of this fat off the sides. Just wanna slice these turkey breasts to about an inch wide chunks. Okay, I've added about a teaspoon of white pepper, a tablespoon of onion powder. I'm gonna finish it off with a nice sprinkle of sea salt all over the top. So for my herbs, I've got this fresh thyme here. To pull it off the stick I'm gonna pull it backwards against the way that the leaf is coming out, and just sprinkle that all over the turkey. The thyme's gonna be the last ingredient before I throw it into the pan. Gonna pour about 3, 4 tablespoons of pure olive oil into my cast iron pan. Medium-high heat, let the oil heat up a little bit. Brown up a little bit on each side. I'm gonna add a couple shallots, and about 15 to 20 chopped crimini mushrooms. I'm gonna toss all that together for about one minute. I'm gonna add some Sherry wine, about a cup of Sherry wine, cooking wine, and two lemons that I've squeezed, that's where the lemons come into play. Now I'm gonna put the heat back up to medium-high, and put a lid on it for about five minutes. Alright, it's been about four or five minutes, you just want to open it up and give it a stir. You can see the mushrooms have already started to cook down. Probably another two or three minutes and it will be ready. And my lemon herb turkey is smelling delicious, and now this is a healthy dish because the turkey breast is very lean and healthy. It's turkey time.
