Hi, I'm John Eason, principal of John Douglas Eason Interiors, an interior design firm based in New York City and I'm going to be talking with you about how to decorate loveseats. A loveseat is the same thing as a sofa only several inches shorter in overall length. However, unless your loveseat is more than 66 inches in length, then it can present some challenges if you try to decorate it in the same way as you would your sofa. The great thing about this challenge is that it leaves you plenty of room to get creative. On a loveseat, I think it's very elegant to add a rectangular lumbar style pillow in the center of the loveseat. If you still feel after putting the pillow in the center of the loveseat that it needs a little something extra, then add a throw. We've tightly tucked this throw into the back of the sofa because of the clean lines on this Flexform loveseat. You could also use just two pillows on one end of the loveseat. To break things up a bit, I like to use pillows that are not the same size. One last thought is to put a rectangular pillow to one side of the loveseat and then add another cushion just behind. I'm John Eason and I hope that you'll find these thoughts helpful when it's time to decorate your loveseat.
