Hi, I'm Ula Robertson Neumann, and chef and owner of At Your Service NY Catering. Today I'm going to show you how to make tomato steaks. You will ask steaks? Yes, we will bake slices of tomatoes to extend the freshness. For this recipe you need a beefsteak tomato, cut up in thick slices, chopped garlic, oregano, olive oil, salt and pepper. Okay I slightly oiled the pan so it needs to be an oven proof pan. I add salt and pepper, a little bit of garlic, oregano and a drizzle of olive oil. So this goes in the oven now for ten minutes at 400 degrees. After ten minutes in the oven we have plated the tomatoes. You can eat them either hot, cold or room temperature and they make a great side dish for steak, for chicken, for fish or just by themselves.
