Hi, my name is Asie Mohtarez, and this is how to get summer waves. It's one of my absolute favorite looks, it's so easy, it looks so relaxed and beachy and it's pretty simple. First you would just take chunks of the hair and you have to keep in mind one of the differences between curls that are tight is the clamp. Summer curls are achieved by loosely wrapping the hair for a very short amount of time over a hot curling iron not using the clamp. So you just take separate pieces of the hair, separate about an inch and a half pieces of hair, wrap it around the clamp, make sure to leave about an inch, half an inch at the ends to give it that natural wavy look instead of that sort of Shirley Temple ringlets. So you wrap intermediate pieces of the hair around the barrel a few overhand, a few underhand until you get a good selection and then you can just sort of toss it out, put a little spray. I like to use a little bit of beach spray that has a little salt water to give it that real natural wavy look.
