Hi, my name is Luke, and this is "how to shut off Flash." Adobe Flashplayer is a program that plays Flash or .SWF files. Your computer has two different versions. One is a plug-in for your web browser so you can play flash when using the Internet. Another is a program installed in your computer, just known as Flashplayer. To disable the flash player in your browser, go to your browser of choice, mine's Chrome, click on the customize at the top right. Scroll down to settings. Now, look for where it says "show advanced settings." Here, you'll see privacy. Click content settings. Next, scroll down to where you see plug-ins and click disable individual plug-ins. Adobe Flashplayer will be listed at the top, for me, at least. Click disable to disable this plug-in. Another easy way to get there is by simply typing Chrome, colon, forward slash, forward slash, plugins, at the top of your Google Chrome web browser. To uninstall Flashplayer from your computer, go to control panel, click on programs and features. Here, you should see Adobe Flashplayer Active X, as well as the plugin. If you'd like to uninstall them, simply click uninstall at the top, and that's it.
