Hi, my name is Luke, and this is "how to detect hard drive space." If you'd like to know how much free space is available on your hard drive, the first thing you're gonna wanna do is scroll down to the bottom and click on the start bar. Next, go to computer and left-click. Here, you'll see the C: drive, which is primarily your hard drive, in Windows. It'll show you the space used, and the space available. For more details, you can right-click and go to properties. Now, if you'd like to see what files are taking up the most space on your hard drive, you can install a free piece of software off the Internet called Space Sniffer. This is available for download from Download and install the program. When it runs, you select the C: drive, press start, and then it will begin to analyze your hard drive and tell you what files are taking up the most space, and that's it.
