Hi, my name is Brian and this is how to see what is taking up your storage. Now generally there is two types of storage on a computer. There is your RAM which is what is running on your computer and how much access memory that's taking up. And then there's your hard drive which is how much storage space you have for files and things like that. Well I'm going to show you how to check each of those on Mac. On Mac there's a program called Activity Monitor which if you go into your search and type in Activity Monitor you can open this up. And then you can see in this column percentage CPU what is taking up the most disk space. So 35 is kind of high and zero is really low. You can close up programs similar to how on a PC. You can close up programs on the task manager. Also you can check what is being taken up, what is taking up space on your hard drive by just going into your finder. Clicking on whatever folder you want to check and hitting Apple key I. And that will bring up the info for that folder including the size. So for example my movies folder is taking up five point three seven gigabytes.
