This is Parker Pierce. And here's how you can sketch and design a shirt. If you want to see how a design's going to look, but you don't want to commit it fully to a shirt yet. This is one approach that you can do. Open a new document in Photoshop, set the background color to a neutral color such as gray or brown. Make a new layer, draw one-half of a shirt outline. Delete the uneven ends, Select the shirt, right click and duplicate to a new layer. Right click again to free-transform it. And a third right click will let your lip it horizontally. Align the shirt and use a Control E to merge them back down to one layer. After re-sizing the shirt and cleaning up the lines, use the magic wand tool to select the outside. Press Control I, so that you can invert the selection. when your selection is inverted, you can fill it with a solid color on a new layer. You can make a another and Control Click on the border between the two layers. And you'll lock the top layer to the lower one. This means all marks will not stray outside of the base, and in this case the shirt. hen you setup, go ahead and draw whatever you like on the shirt and have fun.
