Hello, everyone. I'm Joshua Clement and this is how to hang a clock on a wall stud. Now, when you're hanging something on a wall, it's a good idea to make sure that you go ahead and hit a stud, otherwise, it might pull out of the drywall and end up falling on the ground and breaking. For this job, I'm going to be using a battery powered drill with a number two Philips bit, a stud finder, a drywall screw and my claw. So, with the stud finder, there's a button on the side where, when you hold it, there's two lights, one's the power light, the other tells you when you're going into something behind the wall. So, as it passes in front of it, it's going to read that there's something there, which is normally a stud. Now, this works with any object behind the wall as long as you hold it flat against the wall and then turn it on. So now, we're going to locate the stud. So, we'll take our stud finder, placed against the wall, turn it on, when that light turns on, it means we're right over a stud. We're going to take it a pass, make sure that's really our stud, take it up a little bit, make sure our stud's right there. So now, we're going to take our drill and our screw and put it to our desired height. Now, as you run the screw in, you want to make sure that it's sticking out of the wall about a half inch to a three-quarters of an inch and that way it has room to hang on the clock and allow the clock to sit away from the wall, so that way it's not pushed up real tight against the wall and through the vibrations of people walking around it might fall if it's too close. So then, we'll take our clock and on the back, they have a place for an auto leveling. So, what we'll do is we'll take it, make sure that our screw slides down in there and that way we can hang the clock on the wall and know for a fact that this isn't going to fall off from pulling out of the wall. Hanging a clock on a stud is a good way to make sure that it's never going to fall, especially if you're trying to hang one of those family heirlooms. Thank you all for watching and good luck with this project.
