Hi, my name is Luke, and this is password protecting a flash drive. If you keep important or private things on your flash drive and you want to protect it with a password, what you are going to need to is encrypt the flash drive. The first thing you're going to want to do is download and install a program called Truecrypt. This is available for free at Truecrypt.org. Go to the download section and install. Once it's installed, run the program, select create volume, choose encrypt a non-system partition or drive, click next, standard true crypt volume and then select device. Make sure you select the device with removable storage. That's your flash drive. Click okay and then proceed through the following steps. It will ask you for a password that you want to use to protect the flash drive. Do not forget this password as it is your only way to access the encrypted information on the flash drive.
