Hi, my name is Eylene Pirez, and I'm an astrophysicist, and this is "what kind of living accommodations would we need to live on the Titan moon?" Titan is the largest moon of Saturn. It's very similar to the Earth in many ways. It is the only moon with clouds. It has a nitrogen rich atmosphere, and it has a substantial of gravity. Now, when we talk about this, it also, oh, it also has an atmospheric pressure of one point six bars, which is very similar to that on Earth. So, when we talk about terraforming places, Titan looks very appealing, in the sense that it has a lot of nitrogen, so that would require a lot less work from us. But, it also poses a lot of problems. Saturn is very far. It barely gets any sunlight. And, Titan, to be honest, is frigid cold. Everything is frozen. All the gas have frozen. And, this, if I were to draw Titan, they believe that the entire crust, like, the actual ground is ice. So, if all this ice were to melt, then we would lose the ground, so we would have to implement some sort of fake continents. And, that can prove to be quite difficult. But, the main issue with Titan is the heat. So, there's this ideas of putting these mirrors that will retain the sunlight for longer, and will actually heat up the planet. Now, there's a lot of other problems, that we have to bring in methane. And, if methane is not in the correct layer of the atmosphere, it can cause a lot of problems. But, also, methane, can get really easily lost. So, if we start bringing these gases, how can we actually secure it during the correct places? Another thing is that for warming up the moon, we would have to actually spill a lot of ammonia, and the way we do that is that we do cyrovolcanoes and have these erupt ammonia. So, there's a lot of complications that could happen, but the first and most important thing is that we need to heat up the planet and then we need to figure out how to bring in some sort of land form, in order for us to be living on Titan. Hi, my name is Eylene Pirez, and I'm an astrophysicist, and this is the types of living accommodations that we would need in order to live on the moon, Titan.
