Hi, my name is Chef Ben Diaz, and today I'm going to show you how to make a cooked cream cheese frosting. The reason is it's delicious, silky smooth cream cheese frosting that you can use for cookies, cupcakes, desserts or even large platters. So first off we're going to get our double boiler. So I'm going to use about half a cup of water inside a large pot lined with another mixing bowl. We're going to let that sit for about ten minutes until the water comes to a boil and your mixing bowl is very hot. Next we're going to add one cup of cream cheese, followed by half a cup of sugar. We're going to let our mixer sit for about two minutes. Next, mix your mixture completely smooth making sure your cheese melts evenly. Remove your mixer from your heat and allow to cool down before you use and what you'll have is a great simple cooked cream cheese frosting for any and all occasions.
