Hi, I'm Chelsea Silverman, and this is how to make a sunflower seed pate. One really awesome reason to make this pate is if you are trying to get away from dairy, this is a great cheese substitute. In the plant-based world or vegan world, these are things that we use to get a cheese texture and a cheese flavor. You'll take one cup of sprouted sunflower seeds, two tablespoons of nutritional yeast which is really high in B vitamins for a vegan, that's a great way to get your energy, you'll take one teaspoon of dulce, you'll take a half a teaspoon of pink Himalayan sea salt, it has over 84 minerals in it, then you'll go ahead and take one teaspoon of coconut oil which gives it a nice creamy texture for your pate and one clove of garlic and to top, you'll do one lemon. You'll cut off the yellow rind and leave the white because there is a lot of nutritional value in there. You'll put it all in your Vitamix or high speed blender, add about a quarter cup of water and blend it up until all is smooth and creamy. You can make Bok Choy dips. You can wrap it in collard wraps and fill the collard with other vegetables, beans, chicken even. Or, you can make cabbage cups and have a delicious snack during the day, a nice lunchtime or dinnertime meal.
