Hi, I'm Drew Moyer and this is learning latitude. Lines of latitude run east to west across the Earth and they are parallel to each other. They are measured from positive 90 to negative 90 degrees. Positive 90 is for the North Pole. Negative 90 is for the South Pole which means that 0 degrees is for the equator. To find your degrees latitude at any given point on the Earth, it's very easy and all you have to do is find the point that you want to know and draw a line down to the center of the Earth and the line that this makes with the equator combine to make the correct angle of your degrees latitude. So if I measured this angle out it would be 60 degrees which would correspond to 60 degrees latitude. I'm Drew Moyer, and this is learning latitude.
