Hi, there. I'm Teresa Ward, and today I will show you quick and easy tips on how to clean your furniture in your home, the green, clean way. It's important to maintain your furniture with natural items you can easily find in your pantry. This way, no toxins are in your home, and your furniture will last longer with proper maintenance. First, I will demonstrate how to clean your leather furniture. Here is what you will need: one part vinegar, and two parts mineral oil. Combine these items in a non-aerosol spray. Then, spray mixture onto a microfiber cloth. Then, take the cloth and with circular motions, rub into the leather. Let it sit over night, then take a dried lint-free cloth and buff the leather. Now, let's clean some wood furniture. Here's what you will need: two cups of olive oil and one cup of lemon juice. Combine these items into a small bowl, or a bucket. With a white cloth, dab onto furniture. Then, wipe along the grain of the wood. Use the drier side of the cloth to wipe up any excess cleaning solution. And, last, but not least, a quick furniture cleaning tip for pet owners: all you need is a pair of latex gloves. Just brush away pet hair with gloved hands, and the hair ends up sticking to the glove. Just rinse your glove, and you're all done. Thanks for hanging out with Long Island's home cleaning experts, Teresa's Family Cleaning. We hope these tips help to keep your home clean, and remember, our reputation is spotless.
