Hi, I'm Rachel, and today we're going to be going over how to teach children the ones place in numbers. So the ones place is going to be a digit from one to ten, right, not including 10 right, but 1 to 9 I guess we should say because 10 will be too big. That will be into the second, the 10s digit. When you are teaching this to children usually they haven't learned decimal places yet so if you have a number like 932,604 the ones is going to be the last number right, when they are reading from left to right, it's just the last number. This is the last number that is like I said, the digit right, between 1 to 10. If the children have learned the decimal place, then it's the number right before the decimal point. So maybe you are going on you know, 7, 3 but the ones is always going to be the number right before the decimal point. I'm Rachel and thanks for learning with us today.
