Hi, I'm Rachel, and today we're going to be going over formulas for inverses in calculus. Well to find the inverse of a function is simply going to be to switch the x and the y value. So if you have f of x is something you're instead when you're finding the inverse going to find f of y. There's a theorem in calculus that states that if the function is continuous on a certain interval than the inverse of a function is also continuous on the same interval. So that's important to know. You can also think of it as switching the domain and the range. The domain is generally the x values right so that's all the values of x and the range is the y values. So when you find the inverse, the range values are then going to become the domain values, and the domain values are going to become the range values. That's it.
