Hi, I'm Paul Malvone. Today, we'll be making a meatless veggie burger. This is a great way to prove that going meatless is still tasty and delicious. In a saute pan, heat two ounces of olive oil, add one-half chopped red onion, three ounces, diced black olives, half chopped red bell pepper, one-half diced jalapeno peppers. One and a teaspoons, diced garlic, fry until translucent, about four to five minutes, set aside and let cool. In a large bowl, add six ounces of oats, four ounces of drained black beans, four ounces of drained white beans, four ounces of drained chickpeas. Half teaspoon of paprika, half a teaspoon of chili powder, quarter teaspoon of dry ground sage. One teaspoon of oregano, one tablespoon of fresh minced parsley, half a teaspoon, red chili flakes, half a teaspoon of ground cumin. Half a teaspoon of celery salt, two tablespoons of seasoned breadcrumbs, one egg, the cool vegetable mixture. And mix until all the ingredients come together. And form into a five ounce patty. In a saute pan, add two ounces of extra virgin olive oil and saute your burger two to three minutes on each side, or until golden-brown. Add lettuce and tomato to your top bun, add your burger to the bottom bun and serve with chips or your favorite side dish. This is a great way to eat healthy without giving up taste and flavor of the regular burger.
