Hello, everyone. I'm Joshua Clement, and today I'm going to talk to you about how to burglar-proof an air conditioner window unit. Now, a window unit can allow easy access for a burglar, because the window is always open. We're going to seal that shut so they can't open that window and pull that air conditioner out of that window. For this job, you will need a drill with a Phillips tip bit and some screws. Located on the frame of the air conditioner, there's a channel that allows the window to sit down into it, and they've pre-drilled holes in that channel so we can put our screws through there and hold that window down, so that way, the burglar's can't go and open up that window. So, we'll take our drill, put the screws into the hole, and put it into place. On most air conditioners, you have a wind guard or a windshield that is installed on the side of your air conditioner. And, they have a channel on top of that, as well, with a pre-drilled hole that way you can go ahead and put some screws in here and attach it to your window, as well. It's important to make sure that your window air conditioner is installed and burglar-proof. You wanna make sure that you use the right size screws, so that way, they don't poke through the other side of the window. Thank you all for watching and good luck with this project.
