I’m Aaron Tucker, and this is how to tuck in a dress shirt so there are no wrinkles at the waist. This is important, because obviously you’re dressed up if you’re wearing a dress shirt. And, a way to kill your entire look is to have a blousy, wrinkled shirt. So, you want to start first by making sure that your dress shirt is buttoned properly. Make sure all buttons are aligned. If your buttons are off, of course this is going to change the fit of your shirt. So, once you make sure all of your buttons are lined up properly, any undergarment that you have under your shirt, you want to make sure that’s pulled as taut as possible. You should start with your pants down. Pull your pants up, and as you pull your pants up, tuck your shirt into your pants. Start from the back, smooth everything all around the back. Of course, if you’re looking in a mirror – which you should use – you should get dressed in front of a mirror, this way, you can see what’s going on in the front, and you can feel in the back. Once you have your pants pulled all the way up, and your shirt’s smooth, button your top button of your pants. Use your fly to stick your hand in, and again, continue to pull down. Start from the back, and work your way to the front. Alternate hands, do this on both side, smooth out in your waistband as you do this. Zip your pants up, you’re all set and ready to go.
