Hey, everybody. Joe Liptock, audio engineer. Today, I'm going to be talking about how to wire an HD cable box to your surround sound system. So this is basically pretty simple. Again, I'd like to just picture the signal flow situation. You have your audio source, which is your HD cable box and you want surround sound from it to go in to your surround sound system. That's like the main signal flare right there so all you need is the connection between. So two very common digital connections for surround sound would be HDMI for example. Optical is another one. So most cable boxes should have an audio out featuring these connections. All you need to do is get the proper cable, plug it in to the audio out on the HD cable box and then take that cable and plug it in to the audio in on your sound system. Other than that just make sure everything else is hooked up properly and working and you've got yourself a hooked up system. So sit back, relax, enjoy some TV, get some popcorn and have a great day. My name is Joe Liptock, thanks for watching guys,
