Hello, everyone. Welcome to Latin Twisted Dishes with Neil Fuentes and we're gonna talk about dessert today. And, yes, empanadas can be savory, but today, we're gonna make it a little sweet for you. And, we're gonna make the Venezuelan empanada, which is made with corn meal. There's several empanadas around the world, from Argentina, from Columbia, and all of us, all Latin American people, we all make 'em differently. Some of them are with corn flour, and with flour, and these are gonna be delicious. A little goat cheese, a little honey, and some apples cooked and butter and cinnamon are gonna go in there. This is just gonna be the pride of your party. The first thing we're gonna do is we're gonna grab the apples and we're gonna dice 'em very well, and we're gonna cook 'em in a little plan with a little butter, a little sugar, and a little cinnamon. And, then, in the mean time, while the apples are cooking, we're gonna grab the goat cheese. I'm gonna mix it with a little bit of honey. And we mix the goat cheese and the honey. Once the apples are done, we mix them with the goat cheese and the honey and that is the filling for our empanadas. Now, to make the empanada dough, it's very simple. One cup of flour, of corn flour, we're also gonna have one cup of water, we're gonna add three tablespoon of sugar, half a teaspoon of salt, and four tablespoons of wheat all purpose flour. It can be any kind of flour you want because that's what's going to make the empanada to stay held while you are frying them. Once we have put the empanadas together, then we're gonna fry them in hot oil, for about three minutes on each side and we're ready to eat.
