Hi, my name is Chef Ben Diaz, and today I’m going to show you how to make fried chocolate balls. The reason is, these are great snacks and desserts for any occasion. First, we’re going to take our store-bought one cup of chocolate ganache. Next, take one tablespoon of chocolate ganache out with your fingers and gently roll it into a ball in your palms. Repeat this process for the next four to six products. Finally, place the chocolate balls into a freezer for about 10 minutes to allow them to harden. Next, we’re going to take our chocolate balls which have already been hardened from the freezer, and we’re going to bread them in one cup of cake flour, two each large eggs whisked together, and then finally one cup of ground granola. We’re going to bread them gently, and repeat the process for the remaining product. Next, we’re going to take our already-battered chocolate balls and stick them in the freezer for about another 10 to 15 minutes to allow them to really harden. Next, we’re going to grab a large pot. We’re going to add one quart of canola oil. We’re going to bring that up to about 350 degrees. Finally, we’re going to take our granola-covered chocolate balls and gently drop them into the oil. Cook for about 30 seconds. Next, remove and gently drain, and what you have are sweet covered granola chocolate balls.
