Hey there, Vaughn Bullard here again. So, we're going to talk about how to edit thumbnails in WordPress. And there are many reasons to edit thumbnails in WordPress. But the most often editing function is changing the size. So, we're going to go the WordPress administration pages. This is done by typing in the URL of your Blog, followed by forward slash WP- Admin. You'll be prompted for your administrative user name and password. Type that in and press the Log In button. So, what we're going to do is go all the way down to the bottom of our administrative menu. We're going to hover over the settings menu and up will pop the hover menu and we're going to choose Media. This will bring up the Media Settings administrative page. Now, this page is where you can change the default settings of our uploads. So, any future thumbnail images you upload, will have these default settings. Now, all you've got to do is change the dimensions for the height and width. So, we'll increase the size to 200 by 200 pixels and then, click Save Changes. Here's a tip, not all images will be the same, but that's o.k. If you want to make it more uniform, then you can click "Crop thumbnail to exact dimensions." Now, if we're going to actually edit the thumbnail, we're going to go download a cool plugin called Post thumbnail Editor. So, we're going to go all the way down to the bottom of our administrative menu, we're going to hover over this Plugins menu. And up will pop the hover menu and we're going to choose Add New. Now, this will obviously bring up the Install Plugins administrative page. Now, what you're going to do is type in Post Thumbnail Editor and click Search field. Press the button that says, Search Plugins. you'll see a list of plugins, choose Post Thumbnail Editor and go ahead and click Install Now, After it's installed, you're going to have to actually activate the plugin. Now, there are no administrative menus for this. So, we're going to go to the Media Library, view one of our images. And in particular our portrait of Thomas Jefferson here, who will be our example. Underneath you'll see a link called Thumbnail. Why don't you go ahead and click that. Now, in this area, the Post Thumbnail Editor will allow you to crop and set your aspect ratio. And once you've done editing, click Save. And that's pretty much it and that's how easy it is, folks. That was how to edit thumbnails in WordPress.
