I’m going to show you how to braid your own natural black hair. We’re going to do one of the more difficult braids: A cornrow. The first thing you want to do is section your hair. Get the hair out of the way that you’re not going to use. It’s really important that your hair sectioning is very neat. Once you know the hair you’re going to cornrow, divide that hair into three sections. Once you have your hair divided into three sections, you will want to braid as normal, picking up hair on the bottom into your third section. Continue to braid sections one and two, pick up more hair in your third section. This will cause the cornrow to connect to the scalp. Continue to braid. Once you’re off the scalp, braid as normal.
