Hi, I'm Lee Samatowic, and today we are going to make a terrific broccoli and cauliflower salad with poppy seed dressing. Broccoli and cauliflower are superfoods. Let's find a new way to add them into our diet. First we make the dressing. We do it with half a cup of vinegar, one cup of olive oil. Or any neutral tasting oil. One teaspoon of dried mustard powder. A quarter cup of sugar. And two tablespoons of poppy seeds. Mix those together, whisk them really well. And put that aside. Then take one small head of broccoli, one small head of cauliflower. And I used a beautiful orange one, you could use a purple one. Or a mixture, or a white one. And a half of a red pepper and half of a green pepper. And grate one small onion. Mix those together well. Pour over your dressing. You may have extra dressing depending on how large of a salad you are actually making with broccoli. And marinate it overnight. And then next day you are going to have a delicious salad all ready for you.
