Hey, my name is Cathy. I accidentally shut off my computer. Lucky for me, Microsoft Word has a recover feature that will auto-recover the files that I am working on when I restart my computer, and I'm gonna show you how. If you see on my screen, I just restarted my computer, and I opened Microsoft Word. Microsoft Word has a great feature on the left side of the screen you'll see that you'll, my recent documents are listed. If I double-click on my documents, it will open my document. But it will open in compatibility mode. So what you'll need to do is you go to file, save as, where you'd like to save it, I'd like to save it on my desktop, and it will come up with the original title, and you can keep the title. Click save, and close. If you go back into your documents, you should see that file ready for you to use and with no problem. And that's how you save an auto-recover document.
