This is Mindy McIntosh-Shetter, and I'm going to show you how to garden in soil bags. And what you're gonna need is you're gonna need a bag of soil that is a good quality all-purpose potting soil. You're also going to need a very sharp knife. Now the principle behind this is, is we're going to cut an x in the bag, remove the soil out of the way so that you can plant your plant material, and I'm gonna demonstrate this process. You're going to cut an x, make sure that you open that x up, and then move the soil to the side. Plant your plant material as usual, put the soil back around the ball mass, and close up the x. Now, to keep the soil from completely drying out, make sure that you poke a few holes in that bag so that when it rains, you can get some moisture in the bag. And when you water, make sure that you open up that x, and water your plant material, and then close that x back. Closes the x will ensure that your soil remains nice and moist.
