Hi, I'm Jordana Lorraine, and I'm going to show you how to do a waterfall braid on someone else. A waterfall braid is a really creative look where some hair falls down, out of the braid as it travels across the head. Which can then be curled, ponytailed, or styled in a number of different ways. To create a waterfall braid, you're going to start with a large section at the top front of the hair and divide that into three even sections. You begin with a regular braid and then, proceed like a French braid, except you're going to drop this piece out and take a whole new one. Rather than adding to it cross that over the center. Take apiece from the top and add it in like a regular French braid. Then, take the right piece, drop that out and take new hair instead. This is going to have you travel around the head. And you want to stay high on the head, almost like you're creating a crown. So that there's still a base of hair at the bottom for all the hair to waterfall down onto. Repeat this process about three-quarters of the way around the head. Stop behind the opposite ear, pulling the rest of that hair back. And then, finish with a regular braid. Tie the end of the braid off with a ponytail elastic. And now, you have some styling options. You can just wear it like this, allowing the pieces to waterfall out of the braid and down the back of the hair. Ending with this braid hanging down. You could end the braid a little sooner, instead of having the braid hang down. Tie it off here, behind the ear and then, gather all this hair into one ponytail. For a even more romantic look with the waterfall braid, you can curl each of these segments as well as the hair below. This is a one inch curling iron, create a nice, medium sized wave. Once you've curled all the hair, you want to loosely rake through it using your fingers. To loosen up the curls, just so they're not too perfect. And there's your waterfall braid with a cascade of curls.
