Hi, I'm Jordana Lorraine and I'm going to show you how to do primrose braids. Primrose braids are the hairstyle worn by the character Primrose Everdeen in "The Hunger Games." To do the primrose braid you're going to make two inward French braids, one on each side of the head starting at the temple, coming back around the ear and hanging down into a braided pigtail. So you want to begin with the top section divided in three even pieces, start with a basic inward braid and then make it French by grabbing a piece from the outside and a piece from the inside, adding hair with each section. It's important to stay close to the ear as you come around the turn here because you want it to hang down in a braided pigtail under the ear and over the shoulder. When you get to the nape of the neck by the ear you're going to run out of hair on the outside. At this point you want to take any remaining hair and feed that in to your inside piece and continue the braid in the forward direction. You want to secure the end of the braid before you get to the ends of the hair because the way Primrose wears it, it hangs down over the shoulder like a pigtail with some loose hair at the end. Then you repeat the same action on the other side of the head coming down around the ear and hanging over the other shoulder.
