Hello, everyone, I'm Joshua Clement, and today I'm gonna talk to you about loosening a rusty slip nut for your plumbing. You want to be careful with dealing with the rusty metal because sometimes it is rusted so bad that'll break into pieces and it might cut you if you do that. For this job we'll be using a plumbing wrench and a lubricant. The first thing we want to do is spray the rusty nut with the lubricant that way it can help soak in there and loosen that nut up. So the next step is to grab onto the pipe, grab your pipe wrench, put it over the nut, and try to break it loose. You might want to wiggle it back and forth a little bit to get started and then loosen it up. Now you don't have to take this all the way off to be able to remove the pipe from the metal slip nut. After you have loosened it up you can go ahead take your pipe wrench and continue to take it off. Using the spray lubricant and your pipe wrench can save you from having to cut out that pipe with a saw and having to repair a lot more area. Thank you all for watching and good luck with this project.
