Hello, everyone. I'm Joshua Clement, and today I'm going to talk to you about plumbing fittings that do not require soldering. Now one of the benefits to this is that you don't have to get a torch, some solder and also flux to try to put these together. For this job we'll be using a shark bite or quick connect coupling. One thing that's nice about this is it works with pex, CPVC and copper pipes. So what you'll do is you'll take your pipe, slide it over the pipe and push it in firmly unless you can't push it in anymore. Then I give it a little bit of a twist to make sure that it's on all the way. Give it a little pull. And then you'll go to the other pipe and do the same thing. Give it a nice twist, push it in, then make sure that you're connected by giving it a little tug. Gator bites, shark bites or quick connect couplings are most commonly used in your quick fixes where a pipe has burst or someone that doesn't have all the tools has to get in there and fix some copper piping or you have wet pipe so it's most commonly used in your repair situations. They go very fast and are fairly inexpensive. Thank you all for watching and good luck with this project.
