Hi, I'm Nadege Fleurimond, and this is how to sift flour with a strainer. Oftentimes, our recipes in cooking and baking calls for sifted flour. Many of us don't know how to do this. So today I will show you how to sift flour using a strainer. Make sure your flour is in a separate container from the one you'll be sifting it into. This is your strainer. Place your flour a little bit at a time into the strainer. Once you've placed your flour into the strainer you will use your hands and kind of like hit against your palm. As you can see the flour is flowing through the strainer. You will do this and any additional ingredients you no longer need or you don't need as part of your recipe will remain in the strainer. As you can see all the lumps and extra things remain in the strainer. This is what your sifted flour looks like. Your sifted flour is now ready for your cooking or baking. There are no lumps, no additional ingredients you don't need. Just wonderful fine sifted flour.
