Hi, I'm Nadege Fleurimond and this is fried plantains with butter and sugar. This dish is a great source of vitamin C. And it's a great snack for any of your weekend fun or afternoon hangouts. First we'll cut our plantains on both ends. Then we'll cut our plantains down the middle at the diagonal and make a slit down the line of the plantain so we can remove the skin. Once you've peeled your plantains continue to cut them at the diagonal and go over to the stove to fry your plantains in butter. On medium heat add your butter to the frying pan. Once you've added your butter add your plantains and let fry for three minutes. Sprinkle with brown sugar and flip over. Let fry an additional three minutes and sprinkle the rest of your brown sugar. And your plantains should be ready and wonderful to eat. Fried plantains with butter and sugar provide a terrific alternative to potatoes. And provides a great source of vitamin C. It can be used either as a snack or wonderful side dish to your evening meal.
