Hi, I’m Paul Caravelli. And today, I’m going to show you how to make a Za’atar and cream cheese dip. Za’atar, and many other Middle Eastern flavors, are making their way to the culinary forefront, and this would be a great way to show off to your foodie friends. Okay, so, we have our half-pound of cream cheese that’s been softening. We have our one ounce of Za’atar seasoning. We have a cup’s worth of sour cream. The zest and juice of one lemon. We have about eight leaves of finely shredded mint. We could also substitute in parsley, or you can add parsley on top of the mint. Then, we’re going to do salt, and fresh-cracked black pepper. That was Himalayan sea salt, by the way. We’re going to smooth this together. By pushing it along the walls, you can spread out that nice soft cream cheese so that you can mix in the sour cream easier. Got a little wild there! We can also be using a food processor or stand mixer – even a nice whisk would work too. I like to use a spatula when I’m dealing with cream cheese, just because I can smear it into the place I need it to be.
