Hi, I'm Paul Caravelli, and today I'm going to show you how to make cream cheese stuffed dates. I'm going to show you how a little bit of lemon and mint can counteract the already natural sweetness of the dried date. Okay so we have our four ounces of softened cream cheese. And we have our juice of one lemon. And we also zested that lemon and put it in there with it. I also put in the quarter teaspoon of vanilla extract into here as well. Five leaves of mint that we've sliced nice and thin. And then we just want to do about a pinch of cinnamon. Cinnamon is very strong. And we are just going to mix that together. You could use your stand mixer. You could use your food processor. You could use your hands. Using the mint as a guideline you can see that it's mixed out evenly throughout the entire thing. So therefore you are ready to go. We'll be very careful when cutting in to just go through the one side of the date. And especially not your finger. So if you noticed we didn't put any sugar into our cream cheese mixture. Because dates are extremely sweet naturally. So you can see the actual sugar crystallization inside. So it would be redundant for us to add more to that. And we'll just take our cream cheese mixture, put it inside. And close it up. And then we'll take our trusty fingers and clean them up.
