My name is Aaron Tucker, and this is can you dye a leather belt with shoe polish. the answer to that question is no you cannot. Shoe polish is something that is going to sit on top of the leather. Think about when you get your shoes polished that's why you get them polished repeatedly because the polish will wear off. So you can potentially stain a belt and alter the color but the polish isn't gonna actually penetrate the leather to do a complete dye job. So if you're looking to dye your leather belt you should either go to a leather maker or a leather worker or go to your local cobbler and have them dye it. They can change the color with the dye that can penetrate the leather and you'll actually change the color of your belt.
