Hi, I'm Bridgett Artise and I'm owner, designer and author of Born-Again Vintage. And today we're at Born-Again Vintage the Collective in Mount Claire, New Jersey. And I'm going to show you how to cut designs into a T-shirt. First you cut little holes throughout the T-shirt. It could be the entire back, it could be the front. It could be wherever you want. And this is just creating some type of pattern or texture on your T-shirt. And then you cut slits. Like I said they can be as big as you want or as small as you want. And once you cut these slits or create these slits you pull in excess fabric so it creates a loop. And so they hang nicely after you pull on them. And so the extra holes just create a texture or a pattern that just gives your shirt an extra little oomph. And that's how you cut designs in your T-shirt.
