Hi, I'm Bridgett Artise and I'm owner and designer and author of Born-Again Vintage and I'm at Born-Again Vintage: the Collective in Montclair, New Jersey and I'm gonna show you how to turn a T-shirt into a halter. First you start with a regular T-shirt, it could be your size, it could be a little bit bigger, bigger is better, and what you do is you cut from the seam, the side seam of the sleeve and you cut diagonally up into the collar and you do that on both sides. After you do that you cut around the collar perfectly at the seam so you could keep the ribbing intact. Then you turn around and you cut the entire back out as far as you want your back out so that's up to you and once you do that you cut the middle pleat piece so you could have 2 ties. You could use one tie or you could cut in 3 strips on each side, 4 strips that's up to you. I've cut it into 2 strips, you cut them across and you pull so you could have some limp to tie them. Once you do that you tie and voila, you have a perfect halter top.
