Hi, this is Jaclyn Peresetsky. Today, I’m going to show you how to do makeup for middle schoolers. Now, I know, parents, it’s scary. It’s scary to even think about your middle schooler wearing makeup! But, let me tell you, they’re going to find a way to wear makeup. So, I have given you five simple steps to show them, or to take them to a makeup artist and have the makeup artist show them, that’s just stepping into makeup very easily, and it won’t be as scary for them to apply, nor for you to see. So, the first step that Miss Katie did, our gorgeous middle school model, is we put a concealer underneath her eye. So, typically they’re starting to get a little bit of under eye circles, and it’s good to brighten the eye with a concealer and then to cover any blemishes, because acne also is a skin condition that starts to pop up in middle school. Then, the second step would be a press powder. Press powders are very easy for them to use, and they just have to swirl the brush and dust the press powder all over their face to even their complexion. Then, the third step would be a blush color. On Katie, we dusted a soft apricot pink on her cheeks, and that enhances and brightens her face. And then, the next step is mascara. Mascara brightens anybody’s eye, and they love the lash definition – it makes them really, really excited to go to school and show off those beautiful blue eyes, especially that Katie has! And then, the last step is going to be a gloss. I choose typically just a pink gloss that looks nice and natural on the middle school lip – nothing too bright or too dark. Rub your lips together for me, Katie. And, as you can see, gorgeous lips, and a gorgeous face! This is how to do middle school makeup without getting into too much.
