Hi, my name is Stefan. Today, I'm going to be speaking on how to divide for beginners. Now when dividing a number by another number it's merely how many times you can take away a number. So let's say we have nine and we're going to divide nine by three. Basically what we're asking is how many times can we take three away from nine. So let's say we have nine objects. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine. First I'm going to take away three from it. One, two, three. I've done that one time. And now I'm going to take away three again, we'll have six here. One, two, three. We've done that another time. Now I'm going to take away three again. One, two, three. OK boom. So we were able to take away three from nine three times. So that's our answer. Nine divided by three is equivalent to three. And that's the concept of dividing.
