Hi, my name is Stefan. Today, I'm going to be speaking on how to solve a quartic. Let's say for example we have the equation X to the 4th plus 13X squared plus 36 equals 0. We can let X squared equal W so we get W squared plus 13W plus 36 equals 0 and now we can use our quadratic formula to solve this equation and we get W equals 9 and 4 and since X squared equals W, we know that X is going to equal the square root of this which is negative 3 and 3 and the square root of that 4 which is negative 2 and 2. And that's how you solve a quartic.
