Hi, my name's Stefan. Today, I'm gonna be speaking on how to calculate rise over run with negatives. Now lets say for example you have the 2 points (-1, -3) and (-2 and -6). Okay, all of these numbers are negative and basically use the same formula y1-y2 over x1-x2 and the only thing you do here is you out the negatives inside parentheses so here's what we get, (-6)-(-3) over (-2)- (-1) and when we solve this we get -3 over -1 which is equivalent to 3 and that's how you do your rise over run.
