Hi, my name is Christina Gavenda, and today we're going to talk about using ribbon for drapery edging. Using ribbon to accent your curtains can take simple curtain panels and make them look like high end drapery. For this project we're going to use ribbon, a candle to seal the ribbon, scissors, adhesive seam tape, an ironing board, your curtain and iron. The first step is to seal the end of your ribbon. Once you have that finished we're going to take our seam tape and starting at the top of the curtain panel, we're going to iron it on where we want the ribbon to be placed. Once you have your tape ironed on, wait until it's cool and then once it is, peel your paper off. The next step is to take your ribbon, facing up and lay it on top of the adhesive tape and then take your iron set to the correct setting, I have a polyester ribbon so I have it put under the silk setting and I'm going to just iron it on gently. Once all of your fabric is cooled, you're all done. There are a wide variety of ribbons that you can use. As long as it's washable, it's up to your imagination. Thanks so much for watching.
