Hi, I'm Kristin Koury and I'm a personal chef. Today, we are going to make oven-fried apples. Which is basically an apple pie without the crust. I've got three or four apples. A variety of Granny Smith and Macintosh. I have equal parts of regular sugar and brown sugar with a little cinnamon, and nutmeg. And about a half of a stick of butter, cubed. So we are going to layer apples first. And then our sugar mixture. And a few pats of butter, make it extra juicy. Another layer of apples. And our sugar mixture. And another layer of butter. After the last layer of sugar and butter we are going to put this in our preheated 350 degree oven for 15 minutes to an hour. Until they're nice and baked and soft. So it's been about an hour lets check our oven-fried apples. Oh yea, oh they smell great. Look at that nice crispy top. You should let it sit just for a couple of minutes so the juices can kind of firm up. But this would be great just as it is with a little vanilla ice cream, some caramel sauce. On top of French toast this is fabulous. So that's how you make oven-fried apples.
