Hi, I'm Kristin Koury, I'm a personal chef. We are going to broil fresh cod in the oven today. I've already preheated my oven to broil. I have a sheet tray with foil and my fresh cod fillet. I'm going to make a spread for the cod before we put it in the broiler. I have salt, pepper, parsley, old bay, a garlic clove, lemon juice and butter. So I'm gonna start with a little salt, a little pepper, a little parsley, a little old bay, this is gonna add some flavor. Cod is pretty neutral, so it's nice to add some additional flavor. Gonna mince that garlic clove, that's really gonna add a lot. And then lemon juice, which is always great on fish. And I'm gonna mash that all up, make a kind of a paste. And then we're going to take it and spread it on top of our cod. This is gonna melt right into it when it's under the broiler. Now this won't take long once we get it in the oven. So this is a great weeknight meal. And then we're just gonna pop it under the broiler. Should only take a few minutes. So after about five minutes, I pulled it out. Your time will depend on the thickness of your fillet, and boy, I can smell the garlic and the butter, smells wonderful. I'm just gonna transfer it to a plate. Wow. It smells fantastic. And that's how you make fresh cod broiled in the oven.
